- Turn your beliefs into action
- “Love the least of these” for now at least the poor of the world are bearing the brunt of global warming. Practice compassion and Christlike love.
- Write your leaders and let them know this is important to their constituents
- Join and/or support an environmental organization like http://citizensclimatelobby.org/
- Vote with $, don’t support companies that are damaging our bodies and planet
- Support green energy through local utilities, personally buying or investing
- Use a search engine like Ecosia that will plant trees with the money used from searching
- Be smart in how you get around Ride/walk/transit use an efficient vehicle
- The old staples: Reduce, reuse, recycle (in order of impact)
- Know your carbon footprint (use the EPA calculator to find out)
- Pay to "offset" your carbon footprint
- Unplug more often it’s good for your mind, soul and environment
- Farmers markets: great food, community, support food that doesn’t travel far
- Eat less meat, have “meatless Mondays” or more
- Thrift...it’s like treasure hunting, cheaper and much better for the Earth
- Consume less, connect more
- Demand substantial change from ourselves and our leaders
- ...and support baby steps that happen in your community and country
- Personally commit to put future first over present toys and comfort
- Talk about it...we are all apart of this whether we like it or not. Many of your family, friends, church community members and co-workers are unaware and all need to know and some might actually listen. (o:
